Local Knowledge is a simple guide to touring New Zealand for bands from New Zealand or overseas looking to tour New Zealand. It was published December ‘06, so is now a little out of date, but most of the content is still relevant.

Issue One

To get your copy of Local Knowledge, sign up in the form at the bottom of the page. When you sign up it means you will be sent an email every time an updated version is made available.You’ll be sent an address from which to download the latest Local Knowledge PDF from.

Issue Two

I am currently working on Local Knowledge Version 2. Due for release early 2008. If you would like to contribute. Please set aside an hour of your time and email me ( blink@alowhum.com ) anything that you think could possibly be appropriate. Not just about touring, but about ANYTHING to do with being in a band. Local Knowledge 2 is going to be awesome. If you download Issue one, you’ll go on a mailing list to be informed as soon as V2 is ready to go.

Remember, Local Knowledge is about what YOU know about your city. It doesn’t matter if you don’t know about touring or aren’t in a band…..just things that are interesting about your town…. Good/cheap places to stay, eat, maybe somewhere good to put posters…. please put aside an hour to think about anything that might be relevant, and email me!
