Getting to and from Camp A Low Hum and Wellington (city or Airport) is very simple.
Simply click the link below and it will open the Metlink journey planner.

Use the journey planner as below.
GETTING TO CAMP
WHERE
Origin
Choose your departure point, ie: Wellington Airport etc…
Destination
Input: The Village (Wainuiomata)
WHEN
If you are leaving from the Airport, choose Depart After and input a time giving you enough time to clear customs, considering late arrivals etc…
Otherwise if you have a clear schedule you can choose what time you’d like to arrive. Choose Arrive by and input anytime from 6pm on Thursday Feb 9th.
We have shuttles going from The Village every half hour from 6pm-11:30pm. The drive from the Village takes like 3 minutes to get to the site. There is a Four Square at the Village, so you can pick up supplies (incl. booze) while waiting for the shuttle.
Date
Thur 9 Feb (this is the only day we are running the free shuttle service).
HOW
Check the “Any” box
LEAVING CAMP
To plan your trip back. Reverse the options and choose Mon 13 Feb as your return date. The first bunch of people will be dropped off at 9am and we’ll be just shuttling backwards and forwards as needed until 1pm. Buses leave from The Village every 15 minutes. There are two different services leaving every 30, the 160 and 170. Most people would be able to catch either, but make sure you get the right one.
If you are coming to/from the Airport, you can expect around $15NZD each way. If you are coming to/from the city, it will be around half that.
It is all very simple. If you just prefer to use timetables rather than these online journey planners, you can download the timetables for the 160/170 buses here: http://www.metlink.org.nz/assets/Uploads/160-170web.pdf
The timetable for the Hutt Flyer, the bus from the Wellington airport is here: http://www.metlink.org.nz/assets/PDF-Timetables/91Airport-Flyerweb-july-2011_2.pdf
It’s actually pretty simple. If you are struggling to get your head around it.. just email me your travel details already and I’ll work it out for you. campusalh@gmail.com
Driving, it’s a little bit tricky, but spend a few minutes working it out and you’ll find it.
