WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ON INTERNET FORUMS

IT WAS SO AWESOME! I discovered SO many new bands. I loved the Deathy Deaths and the Vacants and Kill Surf City and the Shrugs. and so many more. it was SO great having the bands play twice - once in a room, and once on a bigger outdoors stage. that was like getting double the bands for the price of one. and it was so easy to wander back and forth between the stages.

The grounds were amazing!! flocks of 20 kereru going nuts eating blossoms and bugs over Shaft! (they were awesome too) i’ve never seen so many of the wee jumbo-jet buggers in one spot ever and don’t get me started on the cheap soul-satisfying just-what-needed-after-sitting-in-sun-watching-bands-for-10-sunny-hours food.

So much more i want to say, but gotta hit the road and have too much fun reliving it while we play the music to everyone who couldn’t go.

It was like all the low hum tours all at once, with great food and tents and barefeet on grass.

CAMP AWESOME
So the verdict is in. The neigh-sayers and cynics have been proved resoundingly wrong - the verdict is in that Camp A Low Hum was awesome and incredible. Everyone that Cheese on Toast has spoken to who went to Camp A Low Hum has said it was totally amazing - reports that it was “the best weekend of my life” for so many of the people Cheese on Toast has spoken to.

Camp was amazing. I’ve come back so inspired… I’m definitely going to play more music and get more involved in our local music scene. I grew up in the US , so I’ve been to plenty of summer camps. I’ve also been to a few really good music festivals (coachella, all tomorrows parties) and I’ve got to say that Camp alowhum was by far the best experience I’ve had. It felt like most everyone (bands, volunteers, audience) was having so much fun and wanted it to be a success, they put everything they had into it.

It was amazing! So many parties, so many nic e new people, minimal sunburn, so much wine, so much gin, so much dancing.

No pants party was one of the greatest parties ever ever ever….. Seeing bands play up in trees beside lakes was beautiful. Many men in tighty whities was grande… Wow what a camp.

Personal highlights for me were watching Goldenaxe, with the massive bonfire in the woods…Cortina, the impromptu black sabbath cover…dancing on stage for disasteradio…the coolies…not so experimental…the pool party & epic whirlpool o’ doom…flick’s mega karaoke sound system & singing iron maiden…getting yelled at by some crazy girl for playing iron maiden on the car stereo…the bogans outside the bottle store with the bonnet covered in iron maiden artwork..

no one there sucked. it was like paradise.

there’s no way you could fully get how totally fucking sweet it was unless you were there. can’t wait for the next one.

Best thing about Camp A Low Hum: no angst about your glaring pasty complexion when it comes time to get the togs on. it’s Nerd Camp! Everybody’s got a playstation tan! Also: diving for beer bottles in the deep end (thanks, Disasteradio!) to the sweet, sweet sounds of MC Stormtrooper and the Mega Chain Gang — best hangover cure ever invented.

OMG what a great camp! Thanks so much blink and all the helpers.

I haven’t danced solidly for so long in ages!

There were so many highlights, the boy scout tribute song, ladybird in a tree, the polks dot dot dots in the creek, the guy who made the cardboard moster outfit for golden axe, foxton fizz, juicies and the craft table. As well as all the awesome people there for the music.

Where do I buy my ticket for next year already?

Awesome camp, so good, still happily bleary today, so many highlights, too many to do justice to in this post, well done Blink, Sally, all other helpers, bands and campers. It exceeded all expectations and then some.
