Keep checking back at www.campusalh.com every week. First additional announcements this weekend.

Fields of Dreams

Fields of Dreams
Fields of Dreams is happening at Camp Wainui this New Years Eve, people may recognise Camp Wainui from such events as Camp A Low Hum 2009, except this time, there are tons less people, heaps less bands and you can tent wherever you want over the huge space.

This is NOT Camp(us). This isn’t the kind of party you can come to by yourself and have heaps of fun, there aren’t tons of bands and crazy amounts of stuff to do, Fields of Dreams is created for groups of friends who want to get together out of the city and hang out in a beautiful stress free environment not packed full of idiots and maybe watch some bands, or not.

Fields of Dreams runs over two days and nights. Just roll up anytime from midday on Dec 31st. Bands won’t be on till around 9pm or so, but please come and hang out, or arrive later…whatever.

Because I imagine people will want to crash out most of Jan 1st and I’d need to pay for an extra days rental so as not to kick people out early…i figured I may as well keep the party going, so if you want to hang around for a new years day party, please do. Again, bands kicking in around 8pm, but there will be people to hang out with all day.

Basically… just bring some friends, some drinks and either entertain yourselves in this stunningly beautiful location, or hang out and watch some bands. Pretty simple.

Dec 31/Jan 1, 2010. 2 days/nights.
VERY LIMITED Tickets just $30. Click on NYE above to sort tickets.
Bunk rooms available.

OTA and LHAWKE
Long-time friends and coincidentally, both members of my old “band” – The Fantastical Blink Band, Nik (Over the Atlantic) and Pip (Ladyhawke) will be touring NZ together real soon, Pip has just dropped her new single (which name checks OTA) “Magic” and I think OTA are releasing a special digital only release to coincide with the tour as well. After the tour Nik will be going to LA to record a Psychic Powers record for US label Geographic North. (A video me and Nik made for a PP song: “Wellington”, will be on youtube soon)

Nik has also made a video for one of my fav ever Over the Atlantic songs – Jen, only avail so far on the compilation I released at Camp in ’09, but I think the track might be on the digital release EP.
