A LOW HUM 2009 – Newsletter #1

Camp A Low Hum 2009

Well, that was awesome! Dang. So much went wrong that so much went right. Such a perfect way to end a shambolic trilogy of events. Everyone was so well behaved, no damages, just lots of smiles. There are lots of things popping up around the net mentioning it, I’ve listed reviews and stuff on http://www.campalowhum.com It’s updated regularly, so check back.

Seriously, thanks to everyone for making the last three years of Camp A Low Hum such an amazing experience!!

Radio New Zealand National have even dedicated a page on their website to CALH and have recordings and their radio docos from the past three years on:

Camp 2010

Still not 100% sure what, where or when this will be…but this vision I have in my head is insane! I am so excited about planning something fresh I can barely sleep, and it’s almost a year away still! If you are getting this newsletter though, you will be the first to know. Start putting a little bit of money away now so you can buy tix as soon as they go on sale later this year, cause I will promise you one thing, whatever it is, Camp 2010 will be amazing!!

New A Low Hum Compilation

Released at Camp ’09, this is the first A Low Hum release to come as a download code with a hand-screened poster on 300gsm card. Something I aim to do more of in the future. This is kind of testing the water, for those who still appreciate album artwork, but don’t really play CDs or Vinyl anymore. It’s also the first compilation I’ve released since late ’06, so I’m very excited.

If you would like to get a copy, you can buy a single poster/code for $20NZD or get two posters/code for $30NZD. This price includes postage anywhere within NZ or Australia. This is a crazy special price, you would normally expect to pay much more then this just for the amazing artwork.

The compilation includes unreleased and exclusive new tracks from Over the Atlantic ‘Jen’, Secret Knives ‘The Garden’, Nikky Brinkman ‘Wrong House’, Ropes ‘Brasilia’ and new tracks ‘She Sends Me’ from Mount Pleasant and ‘Beyond 2000’ by Disasteradio. To buy it (with credit card or paypal), click here: http://alowhum.com/shop/label/

If you’d like to pay with a bank transfer, email me back for details.
