September Newsletter

THANKS! (For caring about stuff..)

A MASSIVE thank you to everybody who replied to my mailing list request. I was overwhelmed at the amount of people who asked to stay on the list. I never realised people actually read these things, so I’ve gone too a little more effort to make it slightly nicer, now in glorious full colour. So much is happening in September. Its ridiculous.

So whats happening eh….?

A LOW HUM LABEL

VISIONS – OUT OCT 1st
(HUM032)

A LOW HUM has transformed into a record label, all proper like. I guess it’s no surprise that first up I would choose to release the new Disasteradio record VISIONS. His new album is unlike any release you’ve heard before, Luke has spent ages working on this, his most cohesive, brilliant record to date, the first one to get national distribution and hopefully will see him getting the respect he deserves.

Featuring on the album are popular student radio hits “Hotline”, “Awesome Feelings” and “Digital Pop”. VISIONS should be instores in October, and Disasteradio is touring throughout September to celebrate it. Please check out this record, its fckn sweet!

A MAZE AND AMAZEMENT – OUT OCT 1st
(HUM031)

I stumbled upon The Enright House’s myspace page in August 2006, I was blown away at the recordings I heard on it, at this stage the band was still a bedroom project by Mark Roberts and when he sent me his EP, I immediately released as a bonus CD with A LOW HUM magazine in October 2006.

With some encourgament from me and others who loved his music, Mark put together a band as well as putting finishing touches on this absolutely stunning debut album A MAZE AND AMAZEMENT. Think Death Cab For Cutie meets Mogwai. Sigur Ros meets Pinback. Philip Glass meets a distortion pedal. Poetry meets numbers. Up meets down. Light meets the drain-pipe.
